After four decades in the same offices, third-generation business owner Kevin Lund was ready to build out a new headquarters for his business.

“My whole life I’ve worked in the same office building.” Lund said. “It’s fun to see the company grow and fun to hear the employees talk about how excited they are about working in a new office.”

Lund is a president of Lund Construction, which specializes in pre-construction, earthmoving and pipeline services. After growing out of their previous space, also located in North Highlands, Lund set out on building a new headquarters that would both accommodate his growing workforce and provide a central location for contractors that serve the Greater Sacramento region.

The new two-story, 82,000-square-foot offices are built on 8.55 acres on Antelope Road west of Roseville Road in North Highlands. The headquarters was built to accommodate the roughly 40 employees who work in-office everyday, plus a large number of contractors who touch base at the offices before heading to work sites, Lund said. The company has a total of 185 employees.

The site includes a broad warehouse that will bring all of the company’s work vehicles indoors. The parking bay has 31 roll-up doors that allow drivers to park facing forward, an easier and safer option, according to Lund. The headquarters is also outfitted with a repair shop, 10,000-gallon fueling station plus conference and training rooms.

“The company has room to grow, but the employees have room to grow too,” Lund said.
