Kam Ellis joined Dempsey Construction in 2020 and is currently a member of the Field Operations team.
As Dempsey’s CFO, Kendra is responsible for the company’s overall financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and risk management. She also works closely with the Office Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting and HR activities. Kendra graduated from Ohio University with a B.S. in Business Administration and became a certified public accountant in the state of Ohio. Kendra is motivated by the caliber of people at Dempsey and those we partner with on a daily basis as well as our high standard of performance. In her spare time, Kendra enjoys being outdoors, enjoying time with her family and traveling.
Kendrick joined Dempsey Construction in 2022, spearheading the Organizational Development function. Before joining Dempsey Construction, he worked as Vice President of People at Pieology Pizzeria, and he also has over 10 years of experience with Jack in the Box restaurant systems overseeing the entire life cycle of an employee (from selection to onboarding to performance management, to succession planning, to promotion, to leadership development, etc.). Kendrick also has years of business consulting in his background, including companies like Toyota/Lexus, Jet Propulsion Laboratories, Target, and Coca-Cola. He is originally a native of Texas but has called Southern California his home for over 27 years. Kendrick continues to help Dempsey Construction build and refine our People programs and processes to ensure we are always an employer of choice.
Kole Moore joined Dempsey Construction as a Project Engineer in 2024. A graduate of Washington State University with a degree in Civil Engineering, Kole most recently worked with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power in Lone Pine, CA, doing large-scale civil infrastructure work to prevent damage from excessive snowmelt runoff. In his free time, his hobbies include traveling, golfing, fishing, hunting, working out, and “attempting” to surf.
Louai Jalabi joined Dempsey Construction in 2024 as a Superintendent, bringing more than 30 years of construction experience to his role. In the industry for over 30 years, Louai has extensive experience with concrete, steel, and wood structures, site grading footing excavation including pile driving, underground utilities (dry utilities and wet utilities), SWPPP work, and LEED projects. He has a proven track record of completing difficult projects on schedule and on budget. Louai is based in Orange County and will oversee a variety of projects in the area.
Marco Maffioli joined Dempsey Construction as an Assistant Project manager in 2023. After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in construction management from Cal Poly SLO, Marco went on to work for a commercial general contractor, working on large-scale office campus projects. In his free time, Marco enjoys surfing, spending time with friends, and getting familiar with all that San Diego has to offer.
Marcus grew up in Spokane, WA, and has always considered the Pacific Northwest home. In 2007, Marcus joined the United States Marine Corps and served honorably for 8 years. During his time in service Marcus married his wife, Lauren, also a Spokane native and a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of San Diego. Upon his transition from service, Marcus began his career in commercial construction with a focus on the Life Science market in San Diego. While working full-time, Marcus utilized his GI Bill benefits to complete his education and ultimately graduate with a B.S. in Business Management from Pepperdine University. Marcus joined Dempsey Construction in August 2018 and has worked up to his current position as Senior Project Manager. As a Senior Project Manager, Marcus is responsible for the success of a project’s schedule, budget, and client relations, ensuring the ultimate success of all parties involved. Marcus strives to deliver projects that exceed our client’s expectations. The most rewarding experience for Marcus is knowing that a client’s vision has been brought to life on time and within budget. Outside work, Marcus enjoys playing golf and spending as much time as possible with his wife and three boys.
Mark Ringkamp joined Dempsey Construction as a Superintendent in 2018. Starting his career in construction as an apprentice, Mark quickly moved up the ranks to Superintendent, holding an impressive resume with a wide array of commercial and residential projects. Originally from Fallbrook, Mark played baseball for Palomar College where he was named “Player of the Year” in California and named one of the All-American honors for baseball. From Palomar, Mark played for San Jose State University on an athletic scholarship where he majored in kinesiology. Following his time at San Jose State, Mark spent three years playing with the Texas Rangers organization. When his time playing baseball ended, his career in construction began.
